With five years experience as the Key Draper on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, I’ve had the opportunity to create vintage-styled dresses for actresses Kelly McDonald, Gretchen Mol, and Margot Bingham. As I drape or draft patterns, I focus on the shape and fit of garments while paying special attention to the fine details of their construction and finishing.

Before Boardwalk Empire, I worked as a stitcher in the New York City Ballet costume shop. In this role I built everything from structured, embellished bodices to soft, chiffon dresses, all with a strong emphasis on the dancer’s ease of movement and comfort in the garment.

I have also built costumes or tailored for films including Winter’s Tale, Men in Black 3, and Batman: Dark Knight Rises.
